Praying That You Will Encounter The Supernatural God

Praying That You Will Encounter The Supernatural God

Today, we will be praying that we will encounter the supernatural God. There is an encounter that can change your life forever. Moses had a zeal to deliver the Israelites from their bondage. He was actually born for this purpose. He wanted to deliver the Israelites from their bondage in his strength but he failed woefully. Moses ran away from Egypt for the fear of persecution. He went into obscurity for forty  years not willing to fulfill his purpose again. One day, He had an encounter with God. That encounter changed his life forever. Moses started his ministry at the age of eighty. That is the age that many would be planning to almost retire from ministry. Moses was able to confront his fear after this encounter.

Results of Moses’ Exploits After His Encounter

Moses wrote the first five books of the bible. God used him mightily. He had the revelation of the past on how God created the heavens and the earth and also the revelation of the future on how God will send Jesus to deliver the world from the bondage of sins. Deutronomy 18:15 says, “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him.” Moses was also used mightily in doing so many exploits in Egypt. He walked in the supernatural.

God used him to fight Pharaoh with ten plagues until he released the Israelites. God used Moses to part the Red Sea and to do great signs and wonders in the wilderness. Moses appeared to the three disciples at the Mount of Transfiguration. When we eventually get to heaven, we will sing the song of Moses. One encounter that Moses had with God made him relevant in the past, in the present and in the future.  When you have an encounter with the Supernatural God, you will be able to confront your fear. You will do a great exploit. You will become an eternal excellency and a joy of many generations.

Mary Had An Unusual Encounter

Mary was a virgin when she had an encounter with God. She became pregnant through that supernatural encounter. She received the strength to conceive supernaturally by the power of the Holy Spirit. How would Mary have explained that her pregnancy came through the power of the Holy Spirit without knowing a man. When you have an encounter with the Supernatural God, you will be able to do the impossible. You might think that that assignment or task that God is giving you is impossible. All you need is an encounter with God and that impossibility will become possible. As we pray today, may we encounter the supernatural God in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points: The Supernatural God

Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. 3 So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.”

4 When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.”

4. Father, I pray that you will open my eyes to see you. I pray that my eyes will see the supernatural God. Let this encounter change my ministry forever in Jesus’ name.

Isaiah 6:1-5

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. 2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!”

4 And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke. 5 So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.”

5. Father, I pray that I will encounter you and you will change my direction and ambition to align with your will and purpose for my life. Let this encounter change the course of my life in Jesus’ name

4 So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. 5 Then Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they came to the land of Canaan.

6. Father, I pray that I will encounter you and you will give me a new assignment as a result of this encounter in Jesus’ name

Genesis 6:9-14

This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. 10 And Noah begot three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.

13 And God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 14 Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch

7. Father, I pray for those who are under any form of demonic oppression that they will have a supernatural encounter today in Jesus’ name. I pray that they will be freed from all forms of demonic oppression in Jesus’ name

Then they sailed to the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee. 27 And when He stepped out on the land, there met Him, a certain man from the city who had demons for a long time. And he wore no clothes, nor did he live in a house but in the tombs. 28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, fell down before Him, and with a loud voice said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me!” 29 For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For it had often seized him, and he was kept under guard, bound with chains and shackles; and he broke the bonds and was driven by the demon into the wilderness.

30 Jesus asked him, saying, “What is your name?” And he said, “Legion,” because many demons had entered him. 31 And they begged Him that He would not command them to go out into the abyss.

32 Now a herd of many swine was feeding there on the mountain. So they begged Him that He would permit them to enter them. And He permitted them. 33 Then the demons went out of the man and entered the swine, and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the lake and drowned.

26 Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.” But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” 27 The man asked him, “What is your name?”“Jacob,” he answered. 28 Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”

Special Bible Passage

Judges 6:11-14

Now the Angel of the Lord came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites. 12 And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!”

13 Gideon said to Him, “O my lord, if the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, ‘Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt?’ But now the Lord has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.” 14 Then the Lord turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?”

Judges 6:15-18

15 So he said to Him, “O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.”16 And the Lord said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall [c]defeat the Midianites as one man.” 17 Then he said to Him, “If now I have found favor in Your sight, then show me a sign that it is You who talk with me.

18 Do not depart from here, I pray, until I come to You and bring out my offering and set it before You.” And He said, “I will wait until you come back.”

Judges 6:19-23

19 So Gideon went in and prepared a young goat, and unleavened bread from an ephah of flour. The meat he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot; and he brought them out to Him under the terebinth tree and presented them. 20 The Angel of God said to him, “Take the meat and the unleavened bread and lay them on this rock, and pour out the broth.” And he did so.

21 Then the Angel of the Lord put out the end of the staff that was in His hand, and touched the meat and the unleavened bread; and fire rose out of the rock and consumed the meat and the unleavened bread. And the Angel of the Lord departed out of his sight. 22 Now Gideon perceived that He was the Angel of the Lord. So Gideon said, “Alas, O Lord God! For I have seen the Angel of the Lord face to face.” 23 Then the Lord said to him, “Peace be with you; do not fear, you shall not die.”
