Pray That God Will Destroy The Power of Death Over Your Household
Today, we will pray that God will destroy the power of death over our household. Matthew 28:18 says, “Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.” This authority includes authority over death. God promised us that we will fulfill the number of our days. He said in His Word that He will satisfy us with long life and show us His salvation (Psalm 91:16).
When Jesus came to the earth, He came to conquer death. Death was not part of the initial plan of God. However, death came as a result of sin. However, God does not want us to die prematurely without fulfilling the number of our days. God has a plan and purpose for our lives. So, physical death should actually come after we have fulfilled the number of our days.
When man sinned against God, death came as the consequence. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Although the wages of sin is death, Jesus Christ has paid the supreme price so that we can live eternally. So, eternal death has no power over us. John 10:10 also says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” In this scripture, we see the mission statement of the devil. The thief mentioned here is Satan. One of his missions is to kill. However, Jesus came so that we might have life.
God Will Destroy The Power of Death
You have every authority over the power of death because Jesus has given us the authority. Luke 10:19 says, “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” So, we have authority to overcome all the power of the enemy, including death. We need to operate in this consciousness because what the devil plays on is our ignorance. John 8:32 says, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
I am glad to introduce the Truth to you today. Jesus Christ is the Truth. John 14:6 says, “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” The Word of God is also the truth. John 17:17 says, “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.” Therefore, we have overcome death by the Word of God. As we pray today, I pray that the power of death over your household will be destroyed in Jesus’ name.

2. Father, I pray that you will give me and my household the grace to live to please you. I pray that you will deliver my household from death as we live righteously in Jesus’ name.
Proverbs 10:2
Ill-gotten gains do not profit, but righteousness delivers from death.
3. Father, I pray that you will deliver me and my household from the power of death. I pray that all my household will serve you and have eternal life. Eternal death will have no dominion over my household in Jesus’ name
2 Timothy 1:10
“But now has been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel
4. Father, I pray that as we have partaken in your flesh and blood, I pray that you will render the devil and the power of death powerless in Jesus’ name.
Hebrews 2:14
Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil
5. Father, I pray for all the members of the Church in BKCC that you will build us up and the gates of Hades will not overpower us. I come against the power of death over every member of BKCC in Jesus’ name
Matthew 16:18
I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.
Pray That You Will Overcome The Power Of Death
6. Father, I pray that death will not have dominion over me and my household. I pray that the sting of death will not have a hold over me and my household in Jesus’ name.
1 Corinthians 15:55
O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
7. Father, I pray that you will destroy everything that could result in death in my household. I come against unfruitfulness in my household in Jesus’ name.
2 Kings 2:21
He went out to the spring of water and threw salt in it and said, “Thus says the Lord, ‘I have purified these waters; there shall not be from there death or unfruitfulness any longer.’”
8. Father, I pray that no member of my household will die prematurely in Jesus’ name. I pray that we shall fulfill the number of our days in Jesus’ name
Exodus 23:26
No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.
9. I pray that the Lord will satisfy every member of my household with a long life and show us His salvation. I pray that God will destroy the power of death over my household in Jesus’ name.
Psalm 91:16
With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
