Destroying The Evil Gates

Today, we will be destroying the evil gates. What is the meaning of gates? Gate is an opening in a wall or fence. It is a means of entrance or exit. Gates are used to fence properties. The gates of God are for our defense and welfare while the gates of the enemy cause destruction and limitations. Evil gate cages destinies which prevent their God given potentials.

God is willing to shatter gates of bronze and cut bars of iron asunder. In Isaiah 45:2, God promised to shatter the doors of bronze and cut through their iron bars. There was a time when Samson went to Gaza. He saw a prostitute and spent the night with her. This is actually not proper for an anointed man of God. In the process, the enemies surrounded the place and lay in wait for him all night at the city gate. Samson went out in the middle of the night. He took hold of the door of the city gate together with the two posts and tore them loose. (Judges 16:1-3)

Reconstruction of the gates At Jericho

There is an anointing that has the capacity to break the yoke. This anointing can destroy every evil gate also and such anointing comes from God. After God used Joshua to destroy the walls of Jericho. He laid a curse on anyone who built the walls and erected the gate.

Joshua 6:26 says, “Then Joshua made them take an oath at that time, saying, “Cursed before the Lord is the man who rises up and builds this city Jericho; with the loss of his firstborn he shall lay its foundation, and with the loss of his youngest son he shall set up its gates.” In 1 Kings 16:34, this came to pass. The account says “In his days Hiel the Bethelite built Jericho; he laid its foundations with the loss of Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates with the loss of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the Lord, which He spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.”

With our prayer today we will be destroying the evil gates that can tamper with our destiny in Jesus’ name.
