Pray For Fruitfulness In Marriage
Today, we will be praying for fruitfulness in marriage. Fruitfulness in marriage could be in various forms. When you are fruitful in marriage, it could mean that you are not childless. Fruitfulness in marriage could also mean that your children are not wayward and they are not vagabonds. It could mean that your marriage is not full of hatred, infighting, malice keeping and all sorts of vices that destroy marriages. Also, it could mean that your home is peaceful and it is like heaven on earth. Fruitfulness in marriage could as well mean that you are financially buoyant in your marriage. There is no lack in your marriage. instead , you have a great abundance.
God made that pronouncement on man in the beginning that we should be fruitful and multiply. He also said that we should replenish the earth. What is the meaning of fruitfulness? Fruitfulness is a state of being extremely productive or prolific. Fruitful activity multiplies or adds to what’s already there. Fruitfulness means to produce more of something. We will be praying for fruitfulness in our marriages today.
Unfruitfulness is a thing of concern in marriage. Sarah was worried when she was not fruitful. She needed a child desperately. She even made the mistake of making an unthinkable suggestion to Abraham in the process. Sarah told Abraham to sleep with his Egyptian slave, Hagar. However, in her old age, when her body was as good as dead and after passing the age of menopause, she became fruitful and gave birth to Isaac.
God Can Make You Fruitful
Rachael also could not bear the shame of unfruitfulness. She was mounting pressure on the husband to give her a child. Jacob had to reply that it is only God that is capable of giving her a child. In the process, Rachael had to give her maid, Bilhah, to Jacob so that she can have children through her. However, at an appointed time, God gave Rachael two sons, Joseph and Benjamin. You will agree with me that a child like Joseph is worth waiting for. Joseph later became a prominent figure in Egypt and his impact was felt all over the world.
Rebecca was also not immediately fruitful in her marriage. She waited on God for twenty years before God remembered her. Isaac, her husband, had to cry unto God after twenty years of waiting on God for a child. Eventually, Hannah wept bitterly and cried to God in Shiloh when she was unfruitful. God eventually answered her and gave her Samuel and many other children. Samuel was a great and prominent Prophet in Israel If you have also been unfruitful in any area of your marriage, God can take care of that. I pray for fruitfulness in our marriages in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Points:
- Father, I pray that you will bless my descendants from generation to generation in Jesus’ name. I pray for fruitfulness in my marriage. I pray that all my seeds shall be blessed in Jesus’ name
Genesis 13:16
I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth, so that if anyone can number the dust of the earth, then your descendants can also be numbered.
2. Father, I pray that you will bless my seeds and make them eternal excellency and a joy of many generations. I pray that my children shall be great stars and excel in whatever field they are in Jesus’ name. I pray for fruitfulness in my marriage in Jesus’ name
Genesis 15:5
And He took him outside and said, “Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”
3. Father, I pray that you will make my marriage exceedingly fruitful and make nations out of me in Jesus’ name. I pray that kings will come forth from me in Jesus’ name. I pray for Fruitfulness in my marriage in Jesus’ name.
Genesis 17:6
I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of you, and kings will come forth from you.
4. Father, I pray that you will greatly bless me indeed in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will greatly multiply my seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore. I pray that my seed shall possess the gate of their enemies in Jesus’ name. I pray for Fruitfulness in my marriage in Jesus’ name.
Genesis 22:17
Indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies.
5. Father, I pray that you will turn toward me and make me fruitful and multiply me in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will confirm your covenant with me. I pray for fruitfulness in marriage in Jesus’ name.
Leviticus 26:9
So I will turn toward you and make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will confirm My covenant with you.
6. Father, I pray that you will love and bless me and multiply me in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will bless the fruit of my womb and the fruit of my ground in Jesus’ name. I pray that my marriage will be fruitful financially and my business will yield its increase in Jesus’ name.
Deuteronomy 7:13
He will love you and bless you and multiply you; He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your herd and the young of your flock, in the land which He swore to your forefathers to give you.
God Will Make Your Marriage Fruitful
7. Father, I pray that the offspring of my body and the produce of my ground shall be blessed in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray for fruitfulness in my marriage in Jesus’ name.
Deuteronomy 28:4
“Blessed shall be the offspring of your body and the produce of your ground and the offspring of your beasts, the increase of your herd and the young of your flock.
8. Father, I pray that you will prosper me abundantly in all the work of my hands and in the offspring of my body in Jesus’ name. I pray for fruitfulness in my marriage in Jesus’ name
Deuteronomy 30:9
Then the Lord your God will prosper you abundantly in all the work of your hand, in the offspring of your body and in the offspring of your cattle and in the produce of your ground, for the Lord will again rejoice over you for good, just as He rejoiced over your fathers
9. Father, I pray that my wife shall be like a fruitful vine within my house. I pray that my children will be like olive plants around my table in Jesus’ name. I pray for fruitfulness in my marriage in Jesus’ name.
Psalm 128:3
Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine within your house, your children like olive plants around your table.
10. Father, I pray that you will bless my marriage in Jesus’ name. I pray that I shall be fruitful and multiply. I pray that I will fill the earth and subdue it in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray for the grace to exercise the dominion that you have given me in Jesus’ name.
Genesis 1:28
God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
11. Father, I pray that I shall be fruitful and multiply in Jesus’ name. I pray that a nation and a company of nations shall come out of me in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that kings shall come out of me in Jesus’ name. I pray for fruitfulness in my marriage in Jesus’ name.
Genesis 35:11
God also said to him, “I am God Almighty; Be fruitful and multiply; A nation and a company of nations shall come from you, and kings shall come forth from you.
