Praying For Fruitfulness Part 1
Day 13: 40 DAYS PRAYER, FASTING AND WORSHIP FEB 3rd to MARCH 14th, 2021. 2021, A YEAR OF NEW BEGINNING - ISAIAH 43:17-19
Short Exhortation About Praying For Fruitfulness:
We will be praying for fruitfulness today. God’s plan for us right from the beginning is for us to be fruitful. Genesis 1:28 says, “God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” From this verse, it is clear that fruitfulness is a product of God’s blessings. Although He created just two people in the garden of Eden, today, we have billions of people all over the world. Fruitfulness is not only limited to physical multiplication.
God can increase your business, He can increase your wisdom, He can increase your knowledge of the scriptures, He can make you fruitful in your body and He can increase your spiritual growth. In Noah’s encounter with God after the flood, God repeated the same blessings in Genesis 9:1 which says, “And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.”
God Gave Man The Blessing of Fruitfulness
Anyone that has a relationship with God in the scriptures has these special blessings of fruitfulness. In Genesis 13:16, God told Abraham that He will make his descendants as the dust of the earth so that if anyone can number the dust of the earth then his descendants shall be numbered. He made a similar promise to Jacob in Genesis 35:11. God reemphasized the same promise of fruitfulness to Jacob in Genesis 48:3-4. There was no barren woman that was not fruitful in the bible except Michal, the wife of David who despised him. Psalm 1:3 says, we shall be like a tree planted by the river side that brings forth its fruits in season. Jesus hates unfruitfulness so much that He cursed the fruitless fig tree (Mark 11:12-25).
Jesus told a parable of talents and the unprofitable servant who buried his talents and he was punished severely. (Matthew 25:14-30). Jabez cried unto God that He will enlarge his territory and God granted his request (1 Chronicles 4:10). Also, serving the Lord attracts God’s blessings and leads to fruitfulness. Exodus 23:25 says, “Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.” Today, as we call unto God, we pray that God will cause us to be fruitful in Jesus’ name.
