Pray That The Holy Spirit Will Help You
Today, we will pray that the Holy Spirit will help us. Prior to the ascension of Jesus Christ, He promised us another Comforter and Helper in the person of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can help us accomplish the task that seems difficult for us to do. If we examine the life of Samson, he did several exploits that ordinary man cannot do. He killed a lion with his bare hands. He lifted up a city gate and carried it to the top of the mountain. Samson also killed one thousand Philistine men with an ordinary jaw bone. It takes the Spirit of God to do these supernatural exploits. We need the Holy Spirit to help us in order to do unusual exploits.
We All Need The Baptism of The Holy Spirit
Jesus also waited for thirty years and He only started His ministry after he got the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit descended upon Him like a dove when John the Baptist baptized Him. Afterwards, He was led into the wilderness where He fasted for forty days and forty nights. Acts 10:38 (NIV) says, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.” The Holy Spirit helped Jesus Christ throughout His ministry here on earth. No wonder, He did several miracles, signs and wonders.
God was able to create everything that He created through the Holy Spirit. He was present in the beginning and He executed all the projects that God did. Even while God created man in His image, He was able to do that by the power of the Holy Spirit. Job 33:4 (NIV) says, ”The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life” This means that for us to start performing creative miracles, we need the help of the Holy Spirit.
Prayer Points
- Holy Spirit, help me in every area of my life. Please teach me all things and bring to my remembrance everything in the Word of God. Holy Spirit, I pray that you will enlighten me and strengthen me in my inner mind and give me the grace to run this race in Jesus’ name.
John 14:26 (NKJV)
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
2. Holy Spirit, I pray that you will continually work in my advantage in Jesus’ name. Please help in every area where I am helpless and fortify me in Jesus’ name.
John 16:7 (NKJV)
Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
3. Holy Spirit, please help me to run this race. I pray that you will abide in me forever. Holy Spirit, I pray that you will reveal the truth to me and you will show me the truth in Jesus’ name.
John 14:16-17 (NKJV)
And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
4. Father, I pray that you will strengthen me with might through your Spirit in my inner man in Jesus’ name
Ephesians 3:16
“For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man.”
5. Father, I pray that you will fill me with your Holy Spirit to the brim and I will continually speak your Word with boldness in Jesus’ name
Acts 4:31 (NKJV)
And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
6. Father, I pray that your Holy Spirit will encourage and strengthen me in Jesus’ name. Holy Spirit, help me to bring a great harvest into your kingdom in Jesus’ name. Lord, let the church in BKCC increased greatly in number by the power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ name
Acts 9:31 (NIV)
Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.
The Holy Spirit Can Help You In Your Weakness
7. Holy Spirit, please help me with my weaknesses. Teach me how to pray. Intercede for me with groanings which cannot be uttered in Jesus’ name.
Romans 8:26
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered
8. Holy Spirit, please abide in me and teach me all things in Jesus’ name. Holy Spirit, lead me in the right ways in every step that I take and come and be my helper in Jesus’ name.
1 John 2:27 (NKJV)
But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
9. Father, I pray that your Spirit will come powerfully upon me and I will do great and mighty exploits in Jesus’ name. I pray that the Holy Spirit will help me and comfort me in Jesus’ name.
Judges 14:6 (NIV)
The Spirit of the LORD came powerfully upon him so that he tore the lion apart with his bare hands as he might have torn a young goat. But he told neither his father nor his mother what he had done.
10. Father, I pray that you will anoint me with your Holy Spirit and power, so that I can go around doing good and healing all who are under the power of the devil.

11. Father. I pray that through your Holy Spirit, I will start performing creative miracles in Jesus’ name.

The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life
