Pray For The Revelation of The Name of Jesus
Today, we will pray for the revelation of the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus is so powerful. No forces of darkness can withstand the name of Jesus. Philippians 2:9-10 says, “Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.” The name of Jesus Christ is so powerful that all names in heaven, on earth and under the earth bow to Him. If you have a revelation of the name of Jesus, you will constantly work in dominion in Jesus’ name.
You cannot use the name of Jesus without the revelation of that name. Although the name of Jesus is very powerful, that name did not work for the sons of Sceva:
Acts 19:11-15 says,
“Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. 13 Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcize you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” 14 Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”
In this bible passage, we realize that even though the name of Jesus is very powerful, it might not work for you if your ways are not right with God. God is interested in the vessel that is using the name. The name worked for Apostle Paul, but it did not work for the seven sons of Sceva. You need to ensure that you are a clean vessel because the Lord knows those who are His. God cannot be mocked. He knows the kind of vessel you are. When you have a revelation of the name of Jesus, you will know that you cannot use the name anyhow. You need to apply the name of Jesus to situations and circumstances by a divine revelation of that name.
Jesus’ Name is The Solution To Incurable Diseases
The name of Jesus can cure all incurable diseases. The name of Jesus can calm a storm and His name can create a path in the sea. However, you need to have a revelation of that name. The name of Jesus can perform all manners of signs and wonders. The name of Jesus can save sinners no matter how dirty they are. The righteous can also run into the name of Jesus. Proverbs 18:10 says, “The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.” So, there is salvation and safety in the name of Jesus.
Apostle Paul was able to do a great and mighty exploit because he was always longing for the revelation of the name of Jesus. Philippians 3:10 says, “I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.” This is the secret of the exploits of Apostle Paul. No wonder, he wrote about two-thirds of the books in the New Testament. As we pray today, I pray that God will give us the revelation of the name of Jesus in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Points
- Father, I pray that you will give me the revelation of the name of Jesus. I pray that as I preach in this name, there will be a great salvation in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that you will draw millions of souls to Christ through me in Jesus’ name
Acts 4:12
And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
2. Father, I pray that you will reveal the name of Jesus to me in Jesus’ name. Lord Jesus, I pray that you will reveal yourself to me as the way, the truth and the life in Jesus’ name. I pray that as I preach in your name, you will draw millions of souls into your kingdom.
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
3. Father, I pray that whatever I ask in Jesus’ name will be given to me in Jesus’ name. I pray that you will give me the revelation of the name of Jesus
John 14:13
“Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”
4. Father, I pray that whenever I pray, demons will be subject to me in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, I pray that you will give me the revelation of the name of Jesus
Luke 10:17
The seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!”
5. Father, I pray that whenever I call on the name of Jesus, those who are oppressed by the devil will receive their salvation in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that the name of Jesus will carry tremendous power in my mouth in Jesus’ name
Romans 10:13
For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
6. Father, I pray that you will reveal the name of Jesus to me in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that I will understand the sanctification and justification in your name in Jesus’ name
1 Corinthians 6:11
And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
There is Salvation And Safety In The Name of Jesus
7. Father, I pray that anytime I preach in the name of Jesus, there will be the move of the Holy Spirit and there must be a genuine repentance in Jesus’ name. Lord, I pray that as I mention the name of Jesus, millions will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ name
Acts 2:38
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
8. Father, I pray that you will give all the nations of the earth the revelation of the name of Jesus. I pray that nations will come to the light of the gospel through the name of Jesus in Jesus’ name
Acts 22:16
And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.
9. Father, I pray for the grace to love and embrace the name of Jesus more than silver and gold in Jesus’ name. I pray that as I pray in the name of Jesus, there will be miracles, signs and wonders in Jesus’ name
Acts 3:6
But Peter said, “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!”
10. Father, I pray that you will reveal the name of Jesus to me in Jesus’ name. I pray that there will be unusual miracles through my ministry in Jesus’ name
Acts 4:30
While you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.
11. Father, I pray that you will reveal to me the creative power in the name of Jesus. I pray that through revelation in the name of Jesus, I will start creating visible and invisible things in Jesus’ name. I pray that I will establish God’s thrones and dominion in all the nations of the world and I pray that rulers and authorities will submit to Christ in Jesus’ name
Colossians 1:16
For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.
You Can Receive Whatever You Ask In The Name of Jesus
12. Father, I pray that you will give me the revelation of the name of Jesus in Jesus’ name. I pray that God will reveal Jesus to me as the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace in Jesus’ name
Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
13. Father, I pray that you will reveal to me the greatness in the name of Jesus. Lord, I pray that you will give me the revelation of how mighty and powerful the name of Jesus is in Jesus’ name
Jeremiah 10:6
There is none like you, O Lord; you are great, and your name is great in might.
14. Father, I pray that you will give me the revelation of the name of Jesus. Lord, I pray that I will start experiencing the creative power in the name of Jesus in Jesus’ name
John 1:3
“All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made.”
15. Father, I pray that you will reveal the name of Jesus to me in Jesus’ name. I pray that I will know Jesus Chrst as the resurrection and life in Jesus’ name
John 11:25
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.”
16. Father, I pray that I will receive whatever I ask in the name of Jesus in Jesus’ name
John 14:14
“If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.”
